Do you experience chronic pain or limited mobility? Would you like a customized SomaYoga practice created specifically for what you experience in your body to help you manage, reduce or resolve discomfort?
Alana will meet with you for an initial 90 minute session during which time your specific health concerns will be discussed followed by a breath and movement practice customized to your needs. Follow up sessions 60 minutes in length.
Each private class will create calmness and ease for those experiencing chronic pain as a result of high levels of stress due to work, “life”, illness or injury. You will be provided a detailed customized yoga therapy program to practice at home at the end of each class.
Fees for an initial 90 minute sessions are $95. Follow up 60 minute sessions fees are $70.
Please note there is a 24 hour cancellation policy to avoid incurring a fee equal to that of a private session.

Alana is very pleased to be offering registered group classes in the northwest Calgary community of Scenic Acres.
Tuesdays, May 8 – June 26 (7 classes total, no class June 12)
Are increasing freedom of movement in your body and softness in your breath on your list of things you wish to bring more attention?
These gentle somatic movement classes will teach you how to release tension in your muscles by tapping into the inherent brilliance of your central nervous system to reestablish the connection between your cortex and muscles improving your movement patterns which results in decreasing muscle tension and pain.
Each class we will be exploring slow, focussed, gentle movements, breath awareness and guided meditation creating stillness in body, softness in breath, quietness in mind… You will be provided detailed instructions after each class to develop your own home practice.
Workshops are 2.5 hours in length. Through these workshops there is a focus on a specific health concern common among attendees. Workshops will explore breath awareness, movement and iRest Yoga Nidra (meditation) to provide tools to improve functional movement and reduce tension in your muscles and joints restoring calm in mind and body. The fee for a Workshop is $45.

This workshop is for you if you have experienced:
- pelvic instability or pain
- lower back pain
- pelvic floor dysfunctions
- stress incontinence
- or, you simply want to learn more…
The pelvic floor supports our hips and legs in many every day activities such as balancing and walking. A healthy pelvic floor also allows us to also enjoy playful activities like dancing, horseback riding and more. Through this workshop, you will improve health and awareness of the pelvic floor through exploring:
- a breath practice to explore the relationship between the respiratory diaphragm and pelvic floor
- the bones of the pelvis
- the muscles of the pelvis
- the 6 directional movements of the pelvis
- how to activate and relax the pelvic floor
- how the spine, pelvis and legs are coordinated in movement
- movement to create pelvic stability
